Your views have helped Purple Frog raise £200 for St Basils

Have you told us what you think of us on Trust Pilot? If you have, then you’ve added £2 to a donation fund for St Basil’s – a charity that helps young people in the West Midlands, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

We use the review site TrustPilot to find out what you like about our service and what we can improve. For every review we receive (whether it’s nice or…not so nice), we’ve pledged to donate £2 to St Basil’s. We reached the 100 review mark on 11th August, so it was a perfect time to make our first donation!

Helping young people in need

St Basils works with young people between the ages of 16 and 25, across Birmingham, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Worcestershire, the Wyre Forest and Coventry. The services they offer to young homeless people cover prevention, accommodation and support. All its services are aimed at helping to break the cycle of homelessness. In fact, everyone at St Basils works tirelessly to help these young people – including some who have their own young children as well – to regain the stability they need.

With 29 supported accommodation centres across the region, St Basils ensures that, every year, over 1,200 young people are housed and can begin their journey towards a bright and fulfilling future. St Basils work also extends nationally. It is part of the End Youth Homelessness Alliance, as well as facilitating the National Youth Reference Group and the Youth Homeless Parliament, which help give young homeless people a national voice.

Get involved

If you want to get involved, St Basils runs lots of fundraising events, including a virtual balloon race, bike rides and challenges such as Sleep-outs across the region. Find out how you can help on their website: http://www.stbasils.org.uk/help-us/. Anne Morton from the Fundraising Team told the Frog Squad blog:

“Thank you so much to everyone for thinking of St Basils and your generous donation. We really do appreciate what you are doing and it is such a great idea – well done to you all. I am not sure if anyone has raised funds for us this way before, and we do know how difficult it is to come up with a new idea!”

Patrick, Purple Frog’s Managing Director says the company chose to support St Basils because:

“Purple Frog are very aware that many young people aren’t as lucky as the ones that we work with. And that many in Birmingham don’t have the luxury of having a safe place to go, or a bed for the night. Greg and I, in fact the whole team, feel passionately that no one should be denied these things. Everyone should have place where they know there’s a friendly face, help and support, when they need it most. That’s why we’re keen to support St Basil’s and the work it does for young people in the West Midlands.”

Add your own £2 worth

We’re still pledging £2 for every review that is posted on TrustPilot. So, if you’ve had an experience of using our services, either as a landlord, tenant or just as a student looking for new digs, please let us know your thoughts.

You can review us here: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/purplefrogproperty.com Not only do we love hearing about your experience – middling, bad or brilliant – your opinion will also go towards giving young people in the West Midlands a chance at a better life!
